Our History

TAG HR - The Associates Group Human Resources is one the leading full-service Administrative, Profesional and Information Technology recruiting and consulting organizations in the Eastern Ontario region.

The company was founded in 1990 by Seema Narula and has grown from its modest begining of two employees to a peak of thirty employees in-house and over four hundred and twenty-five off-site consultants and employees.

  • 1990 Established The Associates Group Incorporated in the province of Ontario, setup 1200 square foot offices.
  • 1991 Awarded Standing offer with the Federal Government.
  • 1992 Recognized as one of the top ten suppliers to the Federal Government. Awarded several suppliers arrangements with Fortune 500 companies.
  • 1993 Expanded to provide Information Technology solutions.
  • 1994 Expanded to 6000 square foot executive premises in downtown Ottawa.
  • 1995 Established affiliations with customers across Canada.
  • 1996 Expanded into U.S. market.
  • 1998 Business expansion continues with creation of four key divisions to address market needs.
  • 1999 On behalf of the Associates Group, CEO wins prestigious Businesswoman of the Year Award for outstanding achievements in continuing to build a successful business.
  • 1999 CEO nominated for Premier’s Award in appreciation for outstanding career achievements and contributions to the community.
  • 2000 CEO nominated for Businesswoman’s Achievement Award on behalf of The Women’s Business Network Association of Ottawa.
  • 2001 A company milestone. IT Consulting Division experiences sharp growth with 1800 % revenue increase from previous year (Information Technology).
  • 2002 Awarded accreditation as a Recognized Supplier to Federal Government GOL (Government On-line) to provide resources for Business Process / Content Stream and Informatics Professional Stream.
  • 2003 Accreditation issued by DND (Department National Defence) as an officially recognized vendor in their Supply Arrangement for Informatics, Professional & Administrative Services.
  • 2004 Awarded accreditation as a Recognized Supplier to PWGSC for the ISS SA - In-Service Support Supply Arrangement in 4 service streams and 38 occupational categories.
  • 2005 Official launch of the Professional Services Division to increase full service capacity to clients to complement IT & Administrative Divisions.
  • 2006 The Associates Group secures itself as a TOP 3 supplier to the Federal Government for all areas of Human Resources.
  • 2007 The Associates Group is awarded TBIPS Supply Arrangement and Standing Offers at BOTH THE TIER 1 and TIER 2 levels!
  • 2008 Official launch of new name: TAG HR - The Associates Group Human Resources
  • 2009 TAG HR is awarded the Temporary Help Services Supply Arrangement and Standing Offer, qualifying in all streams, categories and Levels.
